This is our old friend Dan, who I ran into on campus. He uses a Rebel T2i, mostly for the video function for his food website, foodbomb.org.

My roommate Amanda has a great Shironeko Holga, which is a camera perfect for taking pictures of cats. Not only does it look awesome, but it has a button that makes about 6 different meows and makes those red and green lights flash. It takes 35 mm film, and comes out with pictures that look awesomely lo-fi, kind of like a disposable camera.

Laura spotted this snazzy D700 on the subway yesterday. The photographer didn’t really speak english so she smiled and nodded her way to a nice snap of the camera. Fun fact: D700’s are rare these days because the disaster in Japan severely damaged the factory in which they are made. So start hoarding!

We met David at the new location of Bike Sauce at Dundas and Broadview, where his Olympus Camedia C-3040 zoom caught my eye. The camera belonged to his dad, and has a very special custom made lens cap.

I spotted this screw mount Pentax Spotomatic at a booth at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival. It was owned by none other than noted cartoonist and photographer, David Boswell, creator of the “Reid Fleming, World’s Toughest Milkman” comics.
